Erica Rand Silverman
Erica joined Sterling Lord Literistic in 2008 under the aegis of George
Nicholson and specializes in representing authors of childrens
literature, picture books through YA, and nonfiction about children,
parenting and education. She is focused on establishing the careers
of new and emerging authors, as well as branding and managing estate
clients. She represents authors such as Mariah Bruehl, Celeste Conway,
Rachelle Doorley (TINKERLAB, Shambhala 2014), Eric Kahn Gale (THE BULLY
BOOK, HarperCollins 2013), C.J. Hill, Leslie Koplow, and Caldecott winner,
Peter Spier and works on the management team of various literary estates,
including Don Freeman (CORDUROY), Marguerite Henry and Lois Lenski.
Erica received her degree in Secondary English Education from the University
of Wisconsin Madison, and a Master of Arts degree from Hunter
College. Before beginning a career in publishing, she spent seven years
as a teacher and dean in a NYC public high school.
